Banana Cake in a Cup and some other flavor
I really love cup cakes.. but not so sure I can say the same about cake in a cup. Antony acquired two of these instant noodle looking cup packages from his younger sister earlier. Eager to try them, we quickly ran out to go buy eggs, the single ingredient required to make these puppies.
The instructions are all in Korean so it kind of makes it tough to figure out how to make these. Infact the only english on the whole thing is the little nutritional sticker (required by Canadian food law) stuck underneath the cup itself, calling the product “Cup Cake” and nothing more.

What I got from the cartoon pictures was "add egg and mix bag, then put in the microwave for 1:20"
I mixed the egg and the mix in the cup, but wasn’t quite sure when I add the smaller 2nd bag since the instruction photos don’t even show you. I figured it was probably some sort of icing and decided to add it later. So after 1 minute and 20 seconds, the little gooey mass of liquid in the bottom of the cup had risen to the top of the cup thanks to the zillions of micro waves blasting the liquid molecules within that time.

It even looks like scrambled eggs once cooked!
If I was blind folded, I couldn’t tell you whether I was eating a Korean cake in a cup, or something from my niece’s Easy Bake Oven. Honestly, it tastes like a simple sponge cake chock full of foamy eggness with a small hint of banana flavour. But what do you expect for something that you shove in the microwave for just over a minute?

that’s so weird! so what was in the 2nd packet?
It was like a clear syrup-y liquid that tasted sweet. I’ve still got cake number 2 to try so I’ll try putting the syrup in with the rest of it.
