So I’ve recieved a couple of e-mails over the past few months about the “low” quality of my photos. Yes, I do have an SLR and I do use it quite frequently, but the unique thing about T.O.bites is that the whole website has been done with an iPhone. I will sometimes even write my posts on my phone too. I’m using the first generation of the 3G iPhone (sorry, no 3GS) so I don’t have any focusing functions but I make do with what I’ve got.
So why do I use an iPhone? When I first started taking photos of food for fun a few years back, I noticed when any managers would see me whip my gigantic SLR out, then they’d act a bit different towards me, singling me out above their other patrons. With my iPhone, I feel more incognito about my reviews, knowing that the staff think I’m just another patron, not some foodie internet blogger. So there you have it!
